A program featuring everyday people as well as guests that work within the mental health community, brought together for the purpose of opening dialogue in a very casual setting, that is easily accessible to all. Millions of people (of all ages) deal with varied mental health challenges and we are here to show that no one is alone in that and talking about these issues, is not only helpful but necessary. For far too long, mental health issues have been seen as something to hide because of the stigma that is often attached. It is our mission, to contribute to the current push towards changing that. Drop in, give us a listen, share your thoughts as well.

MDMH - Ep.8 - Big boys don't cry.
Sunday Jun 30, 2024
Sunday Jun 30, 2024
This week, Stephen and I discuss the fact that although the mass majority of us suffer from varying degrees of mental health issues, men tend to deal (or not deal) with them very differently, often leading to further degradation of mental health. Cultural perceptions and gender roles, amongst other factors, contribute to this in ways that do not affect women equally. The trend is showing signs of slowing but we still have a long way to go.
Below is a brief listing of resources available to men in Canada. We hope it is of value to some of you.

MDMH - Ep.7 - You First
Sunday Jun 23, 2024
Sunday Jun 23, 2024
Hey everyone!
This week Stephen and I discuss the importance of self care. We often hear a lot about taking care of your body but only now, are people starting to recognize the need to take care of our mental state as well. Today's world offers a lot of stress and deadlines. Many of us are frequently running against a clock or facing a mountain of responsibility and it is virtually impossible to manage such things if your MIND and body, are not up to the task. There are things that you can do to help, simple things but they all start with you first.

MDMH - Ep.6 - "Sharenting" - What is it and what are the risks ?
Sunday Jun 16, 2024
Sunday Jun 16, 2024
Today Stephen and I discuss something that neither of us knew, is even an issue in today's social media laden world. Sharenting is the practice of parents raising their kids in front of a social media camera, to be shared by all. Stephen and I discuss the very real potential for long term mental health issues that can be suffered by some of kids involved in the practice. Why is this being done and what are the risks?

MDMH - Ep.3 - Saying "No"
Sunday May 26, 2024
Sunday May 26, 2024
In today's episode Stephen and I talk about the power of saying "No". This might sound a little counter intuitive because the word "No" often carries a rather negative weight or negative connotation but in fact, it can also be a source of power towards your own self care. There can be times when we all experience having too much on our plate and saying "no" can not only benefit you, your stress or your aggravation levels but it can also provide others with a calmer, more constructive and more pleasant interaction with the person that knew well enough to say it. Join us and see what we mean.
